Well, the silvers are in! silver salmon have had an early run this year...3 a day
it is the best to catch your own food, we are fish-a-holics, especially salmon...we have eaten it so many ways we may try it in ice-cream soon...we have a batch smoked now, and will try canning the silvers this time....maybe a trip to the Kenai River this weekend, to camp out for a few days
work is great, we treat people in our clinic who haven't been to the dentist in many, many years, so inevitably we have alot of extractions...we are trying to educate and encourage the kids here in the area about dental care, maybe change some views that parents may instill.....alot of people here in this part of Alaska haul their own water, and live using a generator, even in my "neighborhood " it's like that, so dental care is low on the priority list, but we are trying to get people interested.....i hate seeing people get thier pulled...but it's sometimes too expensive to save them....so by saying that work is great, i am loving the challenge, and the teaching and i also love finding out from my patients where the secret fishing holes are! you can never know too many "secret" spots...
just remember kiddies, teeth are good! look after them...
