Summer is coming to a close around these parts, while everyone complains about heat we are sitting at a comfortable 55-60 degree weather here, gradually getting into our fall season...lots of rain, so the fishing has been great...caught our limit of silvers last night in aobut 2 hours, and enjoyed a great stirfry with fresh salmon - we will can the rest...get all stocked up...

Well, the silvers are in! silver salmon have had an early run this year...3 a day
it is the best to catch your own food, we are fish-a-holics, especially salmon...we have eaten it so many ways we may try it in ice-cream soon...we have a batch smoked now, and will try canning the silvers this time....maybe a trip to the Kenai River this weekend, to...

geez, i thought -27 was cold....it has been as low as -40 'round here....Fairbanks temperatures....we have our little winter carnivale this weekend, prime rib dinner kick-off this evening....will be wearing my usual outfit of flannel, fleece and carthartt coveralls.....sexy.....

It was a trout day. There are lots of salmon in the lake, but they are all stocked.
well, i don't think we are gonna ice-fish today...it is -27 F here in Willow-land - the kind of weather that makes your nose fall off....
