Hold on Hope by Guided by Voices (from the Scrubs soundtrack)
Every street is dark
And folding out mysteriously
Where lies the chance we take to be
Always working
Reaching out for a hand that we
Cant see
Everybodys got a hold on hope
Its the last thing thats holding me
Invitation to the last dance
Then its time to leave
But thats the price we pay
When we deceive
One another/animal mother
She opens up for free
Everybodys got a hold on hope
Its the last thing thats
Holding me
Look at the talkbox in mute
Frustration
At the station
There hides the cowboy
His campfire flickering
On the landscape
That nothing grows on
But time still goes on
And through each life of misery
Everybodys got a hold on hope
Its the last thing thats holding me
Every street is dark
And folding out mysteriously
Where lies the chance we take to be
Always working
Reaching out for a hand that we
Cant see
Everybodys got a hold on hope
Its the last thing thats holding me
Invitation to the last dance
Then its time to leave
But thats the price we pay
When we deceive
One another/animal mother
She opens up for free
Everybodys got a hold on hope
Its the last thing thats
Holding me
Look at the talkbox in mute
Frustration
At the station
There hides the cowboy
His campfire flickering
On the landscape
That nothing grows on
But time still goes on
And through each life of misery
Everybodys got a hold on hope
Its the last thing thats holding me
But then I read you live in Tehachapi ... weird. The first of the prisons in California's prison belt. Haven't been to Tehachapi in a long time but I do sort of nod in that direction everytime I'm driving through Bakersfield, which is about 4 or 5x a year. How are the windmills?
