So, Monday sucks. The reasons will follow at the end of this completist ramble.
So, my puffin was back in town for the holiday weekend. I love Halloween and scary movies and spooky crap and all that. Friday was spent sexing up in ways that boggle the mind. We spent Friday night watching scary movies from the comfort of an aerobed island. Saturday we saw 'A History of Violence.' Good flick.
Saturday night we went to the Grove of Anaheim and saw quasi-Oingo Boingo. Basically, most of the key figures without Danny. Good show, they did a ton of old songs though very few of the 'hits,' which wasn't great, but still a fun time. Stopped in on a friend's holiday party, then we got half-way through "Friday the 13th part 3" before tired sleep caught up with us.
Sunday was Disneyland. Not terribly crowded at all and we were able to hit all the rides she missed in February. The new Space Mountain is fun. Of course the highlight was "The Nightmare Before Christmas Haunted House." My baby bought me lots of cool swag. Sunday night found another coupla horror flicks under flickering candle light. It was a perfectly wonderful day.
Now...Monday. Had to take her to the airport. Won't see her again for a bit. I was sad, and got all teary.
Went to work feeling glum. Now, I work with two of my best friends in the whole world, so that's pretty nice. They have four cats of which I see nearly every day and I've catsat on numerous occasions. I've been dubbed their 'fifth cat' if that's any indication of how close we all are. By far the coolest cat is Aven. I was there when they got the little bundle of energy. Most loving cat ever. You'd throw him over your shoulder and he'd just purr. He'd always give me a rub if he saw me walking up the driveway. One night while cat sitting, he jumped up on the bed and just splayed himself across my neck like a kitty muffler. Two sleepy guys lookin' for some warmth.
Aven got hit by a car and died this afternoon. So, yeah, my eyes are pretty goddamn bloodshot right now.
