I've really got fuck-all to say here, people. It's been kind of a slow week (what day is it anyway?) I have been:

- reading a bunch more quantum theory (Michel Bitbol's Mcanique quantique: Une introduction philosophique)
- preparing teaching for next year (Jean-Luc Godard, Jean Vigo, Ren Clair)
- listening to Irish-European indie: Snow Patrol, Archive

Here are last night's dream fragments:...

Hi

I'm not already gone. I plan to go Friday at night so, let's enjoy it.

The Audi Coup GT is quite affordable now, I got mine for 1500 euros.
You can find brand new or second hand parts using both Audi, Compatible Audi or clubs of collector audi.
There are sereval providers in UK like www.audicoupeparts.co.uk/.

The only shit is for changing the lights. You need to search everywhere.

Two or three guys are helping me to restore my GT. There are so kind and not cash minded like any other profesionnal.

Well, I didn't try to drive it the faster I can, cause I need to fix everything first, but the few we tested is incredile.
It's the more powerfull model, 2.2 136 KW from 1986. It's looking perfectly to listen Cure or barely oldies (or Bon Jovi if you want to be ridiculous)

You can see the original brochure here
http://www.coupe-quattro.net/audicoupegt.htm

Well, mine looks exactly like this one.
Cheers

Today I met up with EMLC, who was my first real girlfriend, who I went out with, off and on, from 1992 to 1997, and who I haven't seen for at least five years. I was a little nervous, as you might imagine. But I was a little surprised, and maybe a little disappointed, to see that EMLC hadn't really changed: she's still wearing the...

I'm not THAT geeky. confused Ok, I am.

I like the way you describe your ex. Funny timing. I just got a message from an old university friend who wants to have a get-together. My one friend R once robbed a bank for the experience. It's a party for him, as he's back in town from living in south korea. I'm not sure I have the courage to go.

I need to see some of the movies I've missed on your list. They must be refreshing if you like them.

I wasn't aware that Cure did a remake of this song.
I only know Hendrix because me and my brother are playing a lot of his songs and he's a part of our culture since teenagehood.

Have a good day
Cheers

I am quite often like this. Either words fall out or they don't come at all. It is sort of scary to live like that; words mean a lot more to you than actions sometimes...

This morning woke from an erotic dream about the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Karen O, featuring, I'm afraid, double penetration. Following on from yesterday's diary thoughts, Karen tells me I am too soft and that I need to slam hard into life, and expect some bruises, if I am to get anything out of it. I run my fingers over her tattoos and am troubled to...

I actually want to do an archeological dig in Ireland and spend some time in Scotland. I want to spend some time in London, and of course go to Stratford. I do want to see Hadrian's wall and Antoinette wall.

Indeed I do remember you! Alas, I never actually reveiwed bars for a living, it was a mere sideline. Unfortunately for me I just don't have time anymore, but I don't mean to suggest I don't have time to go to bars, just the writing part afterwards wink

Eaten by a wet schoolgirl.... yep, you are right. That IS better!

Last night watched The Aviator. It's Scorsese's usual mix of short, pregnant sequences, showy performances, rapid-fire dialogue, busy, self-important tracking shots and gratingly juxtaposed pieces of music, all working very hard to conceal the lack of real ideas or humanity. It's a game he's been playing since at least GoodFellas, but I suppose he figures, if it works... Or, as Howard Hughes puts...

ah, i see. so what are you going to do with that when you graduate?
eireann:
Eireann as in... um... what with who?

'tis my name.

Thanks for the advice.. Its not really a problem. It was just a journal about where I'm at.

Being good at life is a subjective term, you see. By whose definitions are you good/bad at life?

kiss

Where in the UK are you?

So, hi:
I used to be a regular on this site last year, when I was called cutriver. Then I had to go away for six months or so, but now I'm back (I make it sound as though I've been in prison: it was better than that wink )

Having spent several hours this afternoon connecting my new adsl line and messing about with webmail...
