Hang in there on the work front...I can TOTALLY relate to what you're going through. I went from successful, 20+ year exec. to out of work and scrambling to hold on to something that looks like my old career...17 months and no paycheck for me...
All you can do is to keep hammering away. Don't let anyone tell you about that "good attitude" crap. Of course it's important. We all know that. But so is showing up to a job interview with your teeth brushed and your clothes on...no duh, right?

Well it's official, I got laid off yesterday over the phone....
I am really pissed because my boss or former boss rather wants me to go in tomorrow and teach him and his assistant of 10 years how to do my job......

I understand that you are probably a professional and if not I am sure you have built up enough seniority to get severance. I am hoping that you do better for them than they did for you, because otherwise your employer can be very good at making your severance late and your unemployment claim difficult.
