Well.
Heather R. (not "the" girl, but one of my friends) came into work last night to buy some cleaning supplies, asked what would be best to clean her pierces... took a look at them. Her ear pierces were ripped out. Bruises all over her neck, scratches and cuts. That was what she said I was able to see, there was a lot more that I couldn't see...
...her "bad boy" boyfriend apparently lived up to his name, beating the living hell out of her yesterday for being friends with Sandy (he thinks she's a "bad influence," good influences apparently being abusers) and suspicions over Harlen. He's threatened her before over talking to me, too, so I wonder if he'll decide that I'm somehow a target.
Ought to be fun; I don't fight physically, I fight legally. If he does one thing to me, he will be arrested.
Fun thing: this boy works at WM. So does she. They have overlapping schedules, even. I don't know if she's filed or will be filing charges, but she's moved out at least... *sigh* It's going to be interesting to see what transpires when they both work tomorrow.
...too many of my friends have suffered abuse over the years from so-called "loved ones." When I was younger and a lot more naive, I wondered how and why people would end up in those kinds of relationships, why they would stay. Then I ended up in one myself, and I saw how easy it is to get trapped into thinking no one's ever going to love you, so you might as well get some kind of attention, even if it hurts most of the time.
Is it a sin to want to kill a man?
Oh, and I recommended Bactine.
...
Another perfect score; this is the best I've done in a math class since M001.
...
Heather F. called Sunday night. Just because. It's that spontaneous gesture I needed to know she's really liking me. I'm all giddy inside.
