A beautiful week or so; I haven't been on-line much, for which I apologize. Happy new year to those who care to read my journal...
I've overcome registration problems, and am in for 7 credit-hours this next semester; linear algebra and differential equations (which promises to be easier than the last three semesters of calculus) and the principles of logic. I got my 4.0 in Spanish, and I vaguely wish I'd gone in for the next semester, but I have my own little rhythm when it comes to taking classes...
My mom 'n' stepdad gave me a $100 gift-card for Best Buy; when going through a stack of greeting cards received over the past week, I found a $50 Visa gift-card from the head pharmacists in my pharmacy. I've now a bit of expendable dosh to blow on DVDs and miscellaneous electronics in the next few months. I'm very stunned by the gift from the pharmacists; previous gifts have been nominal, $10 at most. I expected nothing, and it was only by happenstance that I found the $50 card in my stack of greeting cards... it was accompanied by a note thanking me for "all I do" for the pharmacy. Meaningless, normally, but considering the card's value came from private pockets, I'm damn near impressed and slightly cowed. I'm glad they notice the work I do. I'm proud of how hard I work, and I'm glad they are as well.
...Merry Christmas one and all, I guess. I owe a few thank-you cards.
I'm going to miss this free-time soon; school starts on the tenth.
