The weekend begins, a couple of days off of work, and nothing to do. Well, a little homework, but that'll wait until an hour before class on Monday morning, like usual.
Relationships are strained with everyone right now- this week can't come to an end soon enough. Heather R.'s new boyfriend isn't keen on me being her friend, and she's acquiesced to his wishes. We sneak a little chatting in here and there, but no more overt friendliness.
Heather B. lectured me over the telephone Wednesday about the break-up, on a morning where I wanted sympathy more than finger-waving. So, I hung up in the middle of her harangue. Still burning a bit about things she said; she was unnecessarily critical about me, about facets and traits that she has no experience with. Don't know how to talk to her again- maybe wait a few days and write a few notes on what I want to say to her before calling her up again.
Tony IMed this morning when I came home from work, and asked if I'd be home in case he needed bail. Guess he's going to court over a traffic accident that happened a few months ago, and for whatever reason, thinks he might need to be bailed out. Like... what in the hell? Completely clueless right now, both about the bail process and about whatever kind of crap he's in. Last time I'd talked to him, he was planning a move, and mentioned nothing about an impending court date.
Guess I should head offline soon; his court appearance is at 9:30, and he said he'd call shortly thereafter if he needed bail. Hooray.
...
Post-script:
I have had a pretty bad week, and feel let down by people I'd trusted or held close. Thanks, then, to everyone on here who's taken time to be kind in their comments in my journal; kindness is much appreciated right now, and it means more than you might have known.
