(For those who are sick of the Stephanie-break-up thing, skip the next couple of paragraphs.)
The passive way to break up:
Left Stephanie a terse, but polite note on my public LJ. Found out she has been dating others; since it was obvious we weren't working out, that wasn't what bothered me, so much as the duplicitous nature of it, the attempt to hide her new relationship. If nothing else, I think I'm due a little respect- something I've not gotten for a few weeks.
It'll be interesting to find out what happens if/when she reads it; it'll be awkward next week if she *doesn't* read it, though. Here's hoping she returns the books I loaned her a while back.
Okay, Stephanie stuff is over with. Begin reading here.
Looking forward to this SGIndy thing Saturday; I've been hesitant to appear more than mildly interested, lest I appear to be a dork who wants company, but hey. I'm a dork who wants company. I wanna drink a little, meet some neat people, be around people who are friendly and/or interesting. Yay! Even if I just end up sitting off in a corner by myself, playing with a housecat or whatever.
Wasn't stood up for the movie last night, so I actually saw "A Dirty Shame." It was... eh... it was slightly over-the-top but not terribly hilarious. I miss Divine (I'm sure John Waters does as well). I hate to admit it, but the (relative) subtlety of Hairspray and Serial Mom works better; he didn't go *way* overboard, like he did in Female Trouble or Pink Flamingos, so the experience comes across a bit wishy-washy. And... he used CGI. What is this world coming to?

I agree, I told my mom a few days ago when she got mad at me for deciding to vote for Kerry, that with a republican house and senate a Democratic president would bring back the balance we need. I then went on to tell her that I would vote for Kerry even if the GOP managed to produce videos of him raping children and wiping his dick on the flag. And I can't think of anything worse than doing that, except GW.
