Now brave boys, we're on the march
off to Kilroy's and Nick's
Drums are beating, banners flying
the Devil at home will come tonight
so it's go, fare thee well
with a too da loo ra loo ra doo de da
a too ra loo ra loo ra doo de da
me rikes fall too ra laddie-o
there's whisky in the jar
Oh, whisky you're the devil
you're leading me astray
over hills and mountains
and to Amerikay
you're sweetness from the Bleachner
and spunkier than tea
oh whisky you're my darling drunk or sober
The semester has pretty much wound down....and its time for it to end. I've spent more than 30 hours in the library this week, so tomorrow after I finish up two more projects I'll be done for the semester (minus those 5 4 page papers I have on next Wednesday) so it'll be time for a break.
I'm kicking off the weekend with the 1st annual Secondary Ed-Social Studies pub crawl to celebrate the completion of the intensive program.
It'll be nice to go out and celebrate with most of my classmates. We were going to get T-shirts...but that idea fell through.
We'll leave class and go to the bars and it looks like we'll play some pool before everyone shows up. I'm assuming a lot of other programs might be doing the same type of thing (instead of getting ready for finals) and the bars will be packed, but who knows?
Big weekend for sports. Like Starhaad, we are having a NFL draft party at my house on Saturday morning. Pancakes, Orange rolls, beer and whatever alcoholic breakfast drinks are out there.
On the subject of the NFL, I'm sure Cecelia is pumped that Farve is back. I just feel bad because he'll probably lead you to another 4-12 season.
Anyways, let's all hope the Vikes pick up some good players in the draft.
Otherwise, big boxing weekend. Sam Peter is on Friday Night Fights and both Showtime and HBO (with the debut of Max Kellerman) have cards this weekend.
I hope everyone has a great weekend, and if you are still in the midst of finals or some other obstacle good luck!
Slainte!

We got some real lightweights.
But our collective hearts are in the right place.
Or were, since I'm gone.
