So it's National Reading Month and I agreed to spend Friday morning reading to a bunch of 10-year-olds. I'm leaning towards A Light In The Attic, but that's so popular it might be boring for them. Anyone got any suggestions?

I'm not sure what to make of the Shock therapy ordeal. I certainly can't imagine ever working with that type of policy, much less with undereducated and underequipped coworkers (by undereducated I mean about the field of work in general, not lacking in a degree. I myself have no degree but I've been in the field for almost a decade now, supervising for almost all of that time). All that being said, I can imagine the thinking paths that took place eventually leading up to the integration of shock disipline, and can understand the desperation and desire for results that supported that kind of policy. But I still don't think I could ever work in a situation like that. I feel like having a shock remote would immediately change me from compassionate staff to jailor.
