HOLY SHIT!!!
It cost me $39 to gas up my Bug today! Not so long ago I could do it for under $20. Even so, I can see some good coming from these $3/gallon gas prices. The probable demise of the penis-extension SUV, for example. That kinda makes me smile!
The lovely brds8myface hung out with me and Phil last night. Even brought a bottle of Reisling! For those in SGColumbus who've not met her yet - she is too awesome!
On a more melancholy note, it may be time for me to accept that one of my dearest friends of the past few years isn't going to figure as prominently in my life as she once did. People tend to come and go from our lives as if passing through an airport, don't they? This one's too damn flighty for her own good. I look at her and go, "Damn, must be nice to be that footloose and fancy free!" I have a cousin who's sort of the same way too. I'd love to see more of the world, but it's kind of hard when you're trapped in a rat race with 2 weeks vacation per year. Am I lacking the courage to follow my dreams? Do I play it too safe? Am I staying in the "rat race" because even though it's mundane as fuck, it provides some illusion of security?
In the meantime, I'm really looking forward to the upcoming long weekend. I feel I've fucking EARNED IT!

The 'passing' of a friend can be so uncomfortable, but sometimes it comes down to a a question of quality v. quantity.
I had such a great time with you both, i can't wait to get back so i can see you!!
I was wondering, can i buy gas with my good looks? Do you think I could 'flirt' my way to canada and back??
Enjoy your weekend in lovey
"Sometimes friends come in and out of your life like busboys in a resturant." - Stand by me (Based off of "the Body" by Stephen King, not the one with Morgan Freeman, but I digress) I'm in the rat race to, by default until I find a sugar momma.
