I feel lied to. All my life Ive been told that most girls just want a decent guy and that most girls can look past physical appearence. This is wrong. This is not my experience at all. This is my reality in my neck of the woods. Unless you dance: rumba, samba, salsa, rave, square, full body spasms..... or are into outdoor sports: biking, hiking, jogging, power walking, para-sky-wind-hang-surfing, aerobic high impact cock fencing...........you stand little to no chance of having anything in common with anyone that exists within a hefty radius of my home. But put that aside for now because you have another problem: You Arent Attractive In The Least! Thats right, not only are you not attractive but your very nature is such that when you walk in a room the only reason anyone knows your there is that the door is mysteriously open. You have to give a bartender your drink order 3 or 5 times because he forgets that you are there and apologizes each time when he realizes who you are. When you speak to women they look at you and turn away or you get yelled at by large men in football jerseys for looking at their girl. The ones that dont look away.............that hasnt really happened yet. Venting is therapeutic. Bitching is not, and think this borders on bitching. Therefore I will retire to the study for some well deserved rest.

Here's a quote from a friend: "I'd rather hang around with interesting assholes than boring nice people." This is one reason why women go out with assholes (when they do): it's not generally because they're assholes, it's because they're interesting (in *spite* of being assholes).
Like Clara said, common interests are also helpful... unless you live in a *very* small place, or there is *nothing* you're interested in, there is likely somebody (probably several) who share your interests. Seek them out.
Caveat: Don't be too eager (or at least don't show it). It's an unfortunate catch-22 of relating to people that very little is as unattractive as appearing needy.
