I have lots of stuff going on, mostly bad, but I am not ready to post about it at the moment.
So in lieu of that here is another recipe.
Steve's Chili
1 lb ground meat (ground beef, breakfast sausage, or course ground chili meat)
1 40 oz can of chili beans (Ms Grimes is the brand I use)
1 28 oz can of italian crushed tomatos
1 tsp of beef bullion (whatever measure makes one cup of broth, I use Better Than Bullion brand)
2 tbsp of dried minced onions or 1 minced medium onion
2 tbsp of dried diced green peppers or 1 diced green pepper
1 tbsp of dried minced garlic or 12 cloves of garlic
1 tbsp of oregano
2 tbsp of chili powder (hot or mild)
salt to taste
black pepper to taste
1. brown the ground meat and set aside
2. If you use fresh ingredients, put them in the skillet with a bit of olive oil and cook for a bit
3. Mix the ground meat and spices together along with the bullion
4. Put the ground meat mixture, chili beans and tomatos into a crock pot or a heavy pot for the stove
5. In a crock pot cook on high for about 2 hours and then reduce to low for 2 more hours or on the stove simmer for 4 hours.
Notes:
I often use the little Tones Spice bottles. One bottle is about 2 tbsp. Makes it easy to measure.
For the ground meat, I have used all of the ones I have listed above. You can use one or a combination of them.
For the chili powder, you can use a combination of hot and mild to get the heat you want.
For vegetarian chili, which I have not done, I would guess you could skip the meat and bullion all together.

that jammer comment is funny because I have been thinking about it, and you are SOO right, jammers get ALL the glory! I just always preferred to block because there is so much more to it, as a blocker you have to be defense AND offense sometimes at the same time, also I seem to direct the game play, and start each strategy ..whereas jammers just race and go through the pack without much thought. plus we have an abundance of jammers right now, all 20 years old (except for our best one Killson) and to try to compete with them for a spot seems like it would suck hahaha
