"Attend the tale of Sweeney Todd
His skin was pale and his eye was odd.
He shaved the faces of gentlemen
who never thereafter were heard of again.
He trod a path that few have trod
did Sweeney Todd
the demon barber of fleet street."
Magnificent. Simply put, that's what the revival of "Sweeney Todd" is. It's closing on Sunday so I got tickets yesterday and saw it. Wow. If you don't know the show, it's a musical about the murdering Barber Sweeney Todd who, along with his new "friend," bakes the remains into Pies in London. Sounds cherry eh? Pefect for a musical? No it isn't, and that's exactly why it's so brilliant. Each of the actors double as stagehands and the orchestra, as they each play more than one instrument and never leave the stage. Wow. Just wow.

In other news, if you have a choice between going to see "The Quiet," and a slow, agonizing death,

I have not HATED a movie this much in a really, really long time. There's nothing redeeming about this film, nothing good, not even guilty pleasure good. It's pure crap. Just awful. Do not go see it. And if you're in line to see a different movie and your friend suddenly goes, "Hey, let's be spontanious and go see something like 'The Quiet!,'" then you kick her in the head.
New lovely book to read to your soon to be born children:

Ohhh, and how could I forget about some weekly Chuck Norris action???
