Happy birthday! I miss you. Come see me. Or, like, come hang out when we go to Outsidelands for three days in August. Something.

Happy birthday again!

It's a nice idea, although none listed are anywhere near me...and the car has to be towed.
sadista:
I do have a space heater at work, and wearing layers and Ugg style boots helps a lot, but that still doesn't stop the bitter chill seeping through the window.
*And I only wear the Ugg style boots at work, or getting the mail. Never in actual public.

Well check that out. The Phils won, 6-1. Definitely not the prettiest game, but a fun one to watch. This being my first trip to the new ballpark since it was built, I got a good look around, and it is a damn nice park. Food was good, too.

All in all, a very nice night out at the ballgame.

Burning a salad properly is a three part process. The first is to turn one's attention to a phone call while pan toasting slivered almonds. The second step is to panic upon the realization that the almonds are on fire and to grab the flaming pan and run outdoors with it in order to deal with the problem outside with a hose. Finally, while making the run, one must jostle the bowl containing the main salad product at least partially onto the burner so that it can char while you are otherwise occupied. It is an art which takes practice for some, for others it comes naturally. I chose to display my skill just in time for lunch guests and friends from a client's office to arrive. You may choose to make your moment a little more discreet.

Pants fires are no fun, at least not that kind. Ahh, nothing so sweet as the smell of burning car, at least that's what grandma used to say from behind the prison wire. Snif.

Going to the Phils-Giants game. Never been in the new stadium.

Hope the Phils take it. *fingers crossed*

I vividly remember the 1980 World Series championship, back when I was a wee tyke.

well deer I try not to hit deer but really sometimes no avoiding them...also a beaver looks like it could do some damage. But yes the day before he tried not to hit a frog...seriously a frog. He hasn't had his license for about 9 years and just got it back so IMO he is just like a 16 y/o all fresh and new. But yah back roads going 55 you hit the damn thing.

So it appears that my suspicions about getting cold while overworked and exhausted do, in fact, lead to getting sick.

Executive summary:

snot-fountain common cold with hacking cough, eye infection in both eyes and 5 lbs weight loss with a half day off work to see the doctor. Feeling a wee bit better now, but missed a helluva party last night along with the usual...

Netti pot (or as Nementh calls it, water boarding yourself) helps a lot, as well as alka seltzer plus cold works amazingly. Hope you feel better soon man.

You know that first heady night of spring, when you can sleep under a light cover with the windows open, listening to all the sounds outside that have been muffled through closed windows, thick blankets and the sound of the heater all winter long?

When the longer day slips by into an evening where the breeze flows through the room, bringing the green scent of...

Nothing really. Just mac and cheese and commodity fetishism for me. How about you?
midnyte:
You're totally right. I kind of do all of what you suggested, which is kind of awesome actually that you hit the things I like. I think I need to finish school and stop having it take over my life like it does right now. And then I need to stop seeing architects at the front of the unemployment lines. smile
