Happy Easter folks, enjoy whatever it is you're doing today.

So I moved home from London on Thursday. I can't believe that 3 months has gone already and my placement is over. I had the best time and definitely want to go back at some point in the future. We'll see what happens.

I went to look at a possible house share on Friday morning which was ok, but I'm not really sure. I then met a random girl for lunch who may be interested in a buddy up to rent a place together. She was really cool and we hit it off straight away. I hadn't considered this option and she wrote to me in error, not realising that I hadn't checked the buddy ups option. Her email was really funny so I wrote straight back. I'm now leaning more towards this option. In the mean time I'm at the folks so I have a bit of time on my side to consider options.

Saw Kick Ass last night, I can really recommend it, very funny. I've had the bike out already, guess I'm readjusting to life in the shire.

A friend of mine recently challenged me to come up with my top ten album openers of all time. After several weeks of quiet consideration I sent him the following list, with the disclaimer that it could change at any time.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

1.A Violent Reaction - American Head Charge - The War of Art
This is probably my all time favourite, its a brutal opener and a brutal album. Rick Rubin is God.

2.Evil Eye - Fu Manchu - The Action is Go
Just love it, this band are so awesome. One of the most powerful live acts out there.

3.You think I ain't worth a dollar but I feel like a millionaire - Queens of the Stoneage - Songs for the Deaf
Not an album I find easy to listen to but it is brilliant and this is a killer opener.

4.Intro/Eat The Rich -Aerosmith - Get A Grip
Technically two tracks I know, but one is only 24secs and they kind of work together so I'm hoping you'll let me have it!

5. Rain Wizard - Black Stone Cherry
I scream "here comes the rain" every time without fail.

6. Love Lost in a Hail of Gunfire - Bleeding Through - This is Love This is Murderous
This song is fucking brutal. I rarely listen to the rest of the album, just skip back to the start.

7. American Idiot - Green Day - American Idiot
Incendiary, love it.

8. Welcome to the Jungle - Guns 'n' Roses - Appetite For Destruction
How could it not be there? A contender for best opener of all time perhaps?

9. Lit Up - Buckcherry
Always puts a smile on my face, whatever mood I'm in.

10. Nickelback - Follow You Home - All The Right Reasons
Ok so this is the one I'm not sure what you'll make of. I like Nickelback, they're great songwriters and they know how to do album openers. To be fair any of theirs could be in my top ten but the drum roll at the start and production on this track is amazing so it's here representing the poodle haired one.

Tell me yours..

I have a weird playlist at the moment, stuff I've bought including Hellbilly Deluxe 2 by Rob Zombie and an Elvis Costello Best Of collection. Then there's some things I've had through work including Gabriella Cilmi's new album which I really like and the new Goldfrapp. I think I have a disco streak somewhere within me. Ultimate highlight has to be the Slash album which I obtained of someone who didn't want the advance copy. Its genius!

Right a few random and unconnected ramblings for you. I'm good to you, you know. biggrin

niobe:
I always enjoy your blogs.

Glad you made it back home okay. I want to go to London. Someday. tongue
