Rehearsing: my answers to the "Top 10 Most Likely Questions" I'll be asked at this Thursday's Japan Exchange and Teaching Program interview.
Drinking: tea from my new teapot. If/when I become a crazy old lady, I'm going to collect teapots. And build shelves in my house to display all my teapots. And drag neighbourhood kids in to look but not touch all my teapots until they - the brats, not the teapots - are bored to tears.
Craving: chicken teryaki. With rice made by not me. I cannot for the life of me cook rice. It inevitably comes out like maggot-mash. I've heard all the secrets, I've tried all the different grains. I just can't do it. One of the things I'm most looking forward to about going to Japan is the excellent-but-remarkably-cheap rice cookers that you see in every kitchen.
Wondering: if you had the chance to change one thing about the last year, what would it be? I'll tell you mine, if you tell me yours.

(I'm glad I'm not the only one who can stare at doggie pictures all day.)
