Last night my girlfriend and I watched Zeitgeist and Zeitgeist Addendum, which I have to say were both very interesting and presented a very different view of the world than the one we are used to. I've been into alternative views for a long, long time and always had a problem with the way our society functions (or doesn't function more the point) and of all the various books I've read and films I've seen Zeitgeist really hits the nail on the head for me. If you haven't watched it then I recommend checking it out with an open mind.

Too many people dismiss such things as 'conspiracy theory crap,' which I find incredible when the evidence is right there in front of us every day. The media do such a good job of putting a spin on things though that most people won't even question whether things could be different than the way they are presented, which is a massive problem. Add to that the massive amount of distraction we are fed in the form of TV, sports, movies, Facebook (a bigger time waster and more effective way of collecting information on people I have never seen) and the pressures of trying to stay ahead of our financial obligations and it seems no one is wiling to stop and think or question anything any more.

There are plenty of people on this site however who don't blindly accept what they are told, who do like to question things and who lead more interesting lives than most, which is a good thing.
