Yeah, isn't it supposed to never rain around here? It never rains here and the moment I cross the state line from Arizona it's frigin pouring...and it pretty much hasn't stopped raining since. Bad omen for moi?

Yeah, it does...doesn't it? Yet, they don't tell you this when you are considering moving out here. You get the standard, "IT NEVER RAINS in L.A." tapdance. I suppose they feel the fact that the other seasons are unusally dry gives them license to omit the whole "it pretty much rains all the time in the winter" factoid.

And, of course, before I forget and it becomes a belated salutation, happy impending birthday.

Yesterday was the longest Monday in quite awhile. I feel like it should be at least Wednesday....

Today I spent the whole day with my parrot, and all we did was watch season 3 of The Shield. It was a great day! That, and my birthday is only two weeks away!

oh, i see. yeah, the bay area is wonderful, i really really wish i hadn't moved away from there! oh well, i have a feeling i'll be living there again soon. maybe in a few years, maybe in a few weeks, but i definitely want to end up back there.

wee, that would be awesome! unfortunately, i intend to stay in los angeles for 3 to 5 more years for school & work. but if i somehow get the opportunity to move back & maintain my educational / career goals, i definitely will. also, i can barely afford to live here right now, so if it comes to the point where i absolutely can't afford it & need to move back home, i'll have to do that.
