Last night I was on the radio as a guest. The other guest was Kramer. Not the actor, but Kenny Kramer. The guy that the character was based on. He's nice.

I live in Mexico and weird things like this happen to me all the time. This would have NEVER happened in L.A.

I was about to say, WOW your back, but I guess you're not really "back"...?

Sounds pretty cool though and the the photo is amazing, like a magazine editorial piece.

Mexico huh? I will avoid any flu jokes but stock up on Purelle ok?

If you ever make back up to LA, say hey - I took a job down here at Disney, so my wife and I are now in Glendale (yuck, we need to finagle a place in a better 'hood that is kid friendly cuz we got one of those last year too).

my account is closing here on june 10th. if you know me, you know where to find me.
sad when you can't afford $4 a month.
nageboorte:
yeah, i'm one of the people that has never heard of it. why were you thinking about there and where is there?

it's kinda funny, i can't hear orders sometimes and have to ask people to repeat themselves over and over. the thing is that we got this jazz band that plays some nights and they are too loud. that and the combo of years of rock gigs that has nearly made me deaf makes getting orders a bit of a challenge. needless to say my lip reading skills haven't improved over the years. might be time to take a sign language class....
nageboorte:
when i look at it now i think it can qualify as a form of cheating, i guess. my mate's father is one of those well respected alumni and he taught some classes a few terms while he was doing his masters and after so he's pretty established with the administration fellas. anyways, he had this art show in san fran several months ago so i went up to check it out, so my support like. i also brought some paintings with me to give to my friends like i always do. so he sees these and likes them, and then askes me if i wanted to finish with schooling. i say yes and it'd be great and all but i'm really struggling to just get by right now; rent, car shite, cigarettes costs. he tells me he'll see around for me and see what he can do. oh, he also used to be a kantor (spelling) and through some magic got me a partial grant with a jewish arts funding grant and a partial from san fran art institute. i also might be teaching some undergrad classes... that part i'm not too sure on yet, probably find out in november. all and all it's great. the moment i can sell my car is going to be the biggest relief. then it's vespa or motorcycle time.

I don't know why I didn't say hi, it was a little like two worlds colliding and wasn't sure what to say. I'm pretty shy and you had a really stern look on your face, like you were tired of being bothered by people, which I'm sure is what most of the day consisted of. Next time (if there is?). The event was great, my wife met an illustrator that she may work with on some childrens books and our friends were jealous we went! Good luck on the move.

WHOA! It's scary jumping off but it feels sooo goooood!!! I spent 9 years at a job that was like a growing weight, pushing down more and more... It was so tough, I was totally shackled with the golden handcuffs. I was well compansated (though not buying a decent home in Los Angeles-well compensated) but better then average. The financial side is scary becasue most middle class people are rasied with this ethic instilled in them that you always have to be working and advacing and your pay and benifits should be increasing and security is better than chance, but life is simply more then that...

I was totally vindicated last week with respect to my previous employment. I still consult for them (out of the office and around my schdule) but the person they hired to replace me only lasted 4 months! I spoke to my counter part in the office about the situation and his response was that the new person wouldn't put up with the shit I took for so long.

Sorry to ramble about myself, I just know the feelings you are experiencing at the moment.

How?
Worked my ass off, saved, sold out and worked while traveling. There's always a way. If all else fails, try web porn.

they tell me that they love me all the time.
sometimes i just ignore it, and they keep saying it (like i might not have heard them the first time).
sometimes i say it back.
it's creepy.
i want to break up with her.
