So I've been long overdue for a new post on here...
Where I'm at now? Month two of my four month finals department. The hours are building and I'm usually up working for about 12 - 16 hours a day. Sometimes I get burnt out on having to be creative all day, everyday, but I keep telling myself it'll all be worth it in the end and I have some job at an amazing studio. I can't wait to finally finish school though. I'm already anticipating the move out of Florida, I don't want to waste another second here. I want a new place with seasons and culture this time. Chicago's calling my name I think...or is that Vancouver?
First things first though, when I graduate. The purchase of my 1940 Cadillac or Indian motorcycle. I can't wait to drive down some long winding road in autumn with one of those and no where to go and no rush.
I'm drawing up my final concept for my right sleeve. Retro horror is the theme and I'm having a blast with it. The colors and composition have been some of the best things about designing this piece. I'll post some pictures of my art as soon as I finish it.
Till then I'm hoping to be more consistent with my posts on here. Sometimes I get too absorbed in my work though* I'll try not to.
****If any of you are from Chicago, Boston or Vancouver feel free to send me a message about nice areas to live or unique night life to experience.
****Also, if you don't know her already, support my friend Pout. She's a new hopeful and would make a wonderful addition to SG!! Find her new set here and vote!! http://suicidegirls.com/members/Pout/albums/site/19959/
Hope you all have a wonderful night*
But let's not forget this...

And yeah, I'm really excited to get it finished. I'm trying to tell a story with it, my favorite part of the piece is a greaser boyfriend home run slugging a zombie in the face with a bat and his girl friend scared pin-up style on his motorcycle...all set in a creepy cemetery, lol. Lots of colors, monsters and other 40's and 50's props are gonna make up the rest. I've been refining it for about a year and still polishing bits on my free time. I'm excited for it and can't wait to get it!
Thank you for the sweet comment on my blog!
I'm a real sucker for the 40s/50s look, and this photographer is one of the few people who can capture that great retro look perfectly! You can click Here for his site.
The calender is gonna be all (modern) burlesque, with a lot latex
Btw nice idea for your sleeve! I'm curious to see pictures of it
