Well my "Metal Vacation" is coming to a close today... Back to work at 17:30 tomorow But that's good because I can find out how much vacation time I have to work with to make a cali trip, and maybe more...
Since I didn't really go into the events of the Montreal trip last weekend... The drive up went pretty well (RBC were cool about fixing my finances when I went to a major branch the morning of departure)... Keeping true to my name when I got behind the wheel (avg of > 140 km/h). Used CD shopping was a worthwhile adventure, and I managed to keep my expenditures just over $200 on music (what I bought for cds), + a Cryptopsy shirt, and a Limited edt. Burnt by the Sun "Forlani" shirt.
Burnt by the Sun were good, I think that a 2nd guitarist would really help their live sound, but Dave Witte was awesome to watch play. were absolutely amazing.
The Slayer show was pretty good. For what I was looking for from a Slayer show, I'd score them an 8 out of 10 (or maybe a strong 7), they lost points for covering absolutely nothing from Divine Intervention (my favorite slayer release) and I was kindof hoping for some pyro ($40 for 2 bands and no pyro is pretty steep). But I was pleased with the show, Moshing w/ several hundred people was cool, and my head scored 4 wins (to 0 losses, re: collisions).
Started playing (touch) Football again this morning, and I'm not hurting as bad as I have in the past (after season openers), winning definetly helped.
