I hate my job.
Spokane-based bio-engineering firm seeks senior-level software engineer/architect with skills in embedded systems, robotic automation and enterprise application development. Must be reliable, a self-starter and have management experience. Work history in the fields of pharma, biology or chemistry a plus. Must be willing to forfeit salary and all benefits to previous job occupant.
If interested, please send an introduction and a copy of your resume.
In other news, I had a fantastic weekend. Friday and Saturday found me camping near Leavenworth, Washington. Though I use the word "camping" in a loose sense, really meaning, "setting up a tent, building a bonfire, drinking copious amounts of alcohol, hot tubbing, and ultimately passing out on a hide-a-bed upstairs".
Saturday, I went rafting with some coworkers down the Wenatchee River. The rapids weren't very severe, averaging about a class 3, but the river was still pushing around 13,000 cubic feet of water per second and it was an awesome 18 miles. I'll be arranging another one of these trips soon with the SG crowd in mind. Presently, I'm thinking the weekend of July 15. We could have up to 16 people and the cost would probably be about $40 and would include wetsuit, watersock and life jacket rentals. Who's interested?
On Sunday, I got to spend the evening with tiffanymarie and her beau. It was a bit of a reunion, actually, in that I knew nearly everyone that they were hanging out with. Spokane's too small. Regardless, it was good times. And I discovered I can't play conga drums for shit.
Travelogue update: It looks like I'm heading to London on July 3rd for some classes. I've never been to the UK, so I'm a bit excited.
One of my dafter coworkers asked me earlier today, "Why are they having a training on the fourth of July?"
