much to my surprise, i'm finding that i miss portland. is it just the people? i don't know. there is a certain provincial charm here, i guess. i love SF and i feel at home there -- besides, now that I've started school i'm committed for at least three years -- but the l.d.r. is so fuckin hard. sometimes it's so lonely, and I don't even want anyone else's company, so i spend most of my time alone. good for the soul but perhaps not so much for the body or heart...
