my dreams have been really intense lately; perhaps it's the pleasure of my new room and my general excitement/ i dunno. in that dream the other night w/ my coworker, i was in some sort of underground mall and then we went down a huge empty airport-like hallway and then there was a door and we were in a total den of iniquity... there were people having sex or just sitting around readingg, it was a really weird space, v. living room but with all kinds of stuff going on, from totally shocking to utterly mundane. kinda cozy looking. anyway i sat next to stephen (my coworker) and he was reading a magazine, then he turned to me and i thought he was about to kiss me but i found we were playing some sort of complicated breathing game. then we made out and then i woke up. hmmm.
and last night i dreamt that my roommate pete was married to this beautiful blonde french woman named alexis with like 4 children of her own; she was a fashion designer and we had a HUGE loft on the coast somewhere and she was having a show there and there were all these kids running around and being v. lord of the flies. all foggy blue light and sunshine falling through dusty windows. he was still with his real life girlfriend in the dream, though.
who was that famous person, Jung maybe, who said that hearing other people's dreams is the most boring thing ever.
is that true? i like hearing peoples' dreams.
too bad i have work today, i feel like i could be productive in more creative ways. oh well.
some people who've heard me talk about it might think i hate my job; not true! it'a a pretty good job i guess. i just hate the entire concept of having to exhaust myself working an unfulfilling and low-paying job just in order to survive long enough to do what i really want, you know?
