Oh, I forgot. When the hell are YOU planning on getting into the game (if you haven't already, that is)?

I'm awfully sorry to hear about your grandmother. For what it's worth, in my experience people are prone to doing curious things when loved ones die; sometimes their grief blinds them to how the other affected parties may feel, so I think you've got the right idea-- try not to judge them too harshly.

You know, for a moment I thought I had actually been to Jasper, GA, but I've actually only been to Jasper County, on my way to Juliette.

Hope I can help reassure you-- for a march of this size, I"m sure the DC police have everyone on the force working overtime, and DC is probably one of the best-equipped and best-prepared cities for protecting large gatherings of people. My school had a bus going up there, but it's just too damn close to finals, and my son would have rebelled at the thought of spending 40 hours on a bus.

On an entirely different note, thanks for the birthday wishes. What really gets me excited about that auction is "ALONG WITH THIS DOLL HOUSE YOU WILL RECIEVE BRAND NEW BARBIE BATH WORKS PLAYSET & KRISSY SWING N' PLAY."

But isn't every day valentines day, really?

Yeah the forest people are busting my nuts on this particular day. My boss justed bitched at me for not keeping her informed when she's out of town, which is always. The problem being she's not informed becuase she wont return my phone calls or E Mail. And I just got a call inviting me to apply for a Disney grant, the trouble being it took them six weeks to get back to me and the deadline is in12 days.

Joy.

I feel pretty okay about what I do with regard to charitable stuff.

I donate money to the Santa Ana boy's and girls club for school supplies in the fall and for Christmas gifts (which are mostly school clothes, but they get a few toys too).

I give cash to the Red Cross and donate blood regularly.

I give cash to public radio.

I buy museum memberships to support the art museums in LA and San Diego.

I also maintain a shelter for women who are too blind drunk to realize they're sleeping with me and not the cute guy they were talking to earlier in the night when they were sober.

Do I take the low-paying-but-will-pay-the-bills job for the organization I love that will also gives me the flexibility to go to grad school, or do I continue wandering?

the book i am reading, Applied Chaos Theory: A Paradigm for Complexity" actually makes reference to that book you recommended.

I am in the middle of reading, like, 5 books right now. So, I'll read it, but not for a couple weeks.

Do some travel! It so much better to get out and experience life outside of school and an office. It gives a better perspective.

I'm going back to NZ to do Arch in a few years. I think my designs will be a lot more focused, than if I'd gone straight from school...

I've just been having a full-on "debate" with a hardcore log cabin republican in the Capitalism/ or was it dating repub thread?... it gets me soooo mad mad

I planted Sassafras with Trees Atlanta today. It's been one of my favorite trees since I was very small, and the first tree I could identify. I'd tramp through the woods digging up all the Sassafras roots I could find then take them home to cure. When they were ready I'd pester my mom to make tea from'em and loads of honey.

How do you...

"Although the really peculiar thing about me, demographically, is that I probably watch less than twelve hours of television in a given year, and have watched that little since age fifteen. (An individual who watches no television is still a scarcer beast than one who doesn't have an email address.) I have no idea how that happened. It wasn't a decision. I suspect I have...
