Ok. I am still not happy, but I have made friends with the shouty chef again. I am still pissed at my shouty manager. In fact, I am realising I am not a fan of him in general but am too scared to say anything in case the boss offers me the job instead.

I am bloody freezing today. The wind is doing this REALLY...

FUCK OFF with the shouting.

It is not cool, yo.

I got shouted at twice today. I don't like being shouted at. It makes me cry and I lose any ability for coherent articulation.

First, the chef shouted at me - actually, went out of his way to shout at me twice. Then, when I was too upset to fight back, my manager came upstairs...

try laying down the law a little.

say your sick of being shouted at all the time and underappreiated for all the effort you put in.

I remember when i used to work at 2 resteraunts.
One of them was lovely.. the other gave me nothing but a torrent of constant abuse. For no reason whatsoever either.

One was award winning one wasnt.
The award winning resteraunt wasnt the one that shouted at me, it was the hotel/resteraunt place... the chef was an arse, the manager was an arse... thankfully for me i was able to get more shifts with other one so i didnt need that shitty job anymore.

People take too much shit, my sister is currently contemplating resigning her job over similar things.
If you really are thinking about quitting then you have nothing to lose by standing up for yourself.

good luck.

wankers..
I cried in work today. A kitchen also. It all gets too much sometimes.

I am writing an essay about the relevance of English place-name evidence to the study of the Viking age.

This necessitates a road map of the British Isles, four very musty books from the early 1920s and more will power than you will ever know.

I have discovered, however, that the name of the village I was born in (Codnor) originally meant 'Codda's Ridge'. A...

You can come home now.

That's why there is no such thing as time travel - like all chicks, Mother Nature doesn't know how to reverse.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha biggrin biggrin biggrin

You don't miss me anymore? Oh frown ok, I won't make a witty comment about blaming your wet bed on a poor, defenseless water bottle....

I can't really remember why, but I thought it would be a good idea to eat all Easter chocolate as soon as I got it. So I am eating EVERYTHING in sight.

However, I can't remember why I though this was a good idea as I am SO FULL. Bleugh. I am nearly made of chocolate.

Also, this morning the Royal Mail delivered a Sainsburys...

Well.

I am back from my week's exile in the wilds of Derbyshire and am once again living vicariously through the internets.

Also, I have found a bike. No, really, I found it. It was leaning down the side of my house with a knackered seat and only one pedal but it is a thing of beauty to me and I am keeping it. Oh...

My detox junk has arrived! I am booking a week off work and FASTING. Because I am healthy, man.

Also, it is Dawny's birthday today/tomorrow . . . woo! WOO! We went to the pub quiz and got 27 out of 40 which is pretty good for us. It is a music quiz and we are into too random stuff for it to qualify.

For...

Ok, well, I gave up on the so-called 'all nighter' because the screen was doing this weird zooming thing. Or maybe I was. Also, I was reduced to eating pesto on toast as there is no food in my house! I work in a deli for God's sake, how is this permitted to happen?!

Also, my housemate came bounding in to announce that The Savoy...

Sometimes I am thankful for my short memory.

I am looking pretty damn foxy today, if I do say so myself. Not for any good reason, of course - paint-splattered jeans, British racing green hoody/tshirt with the sleeves rolled up, polka-dot flipflops and hair so long I have to tie it back whilst eating - but, still. I am happy.

I have just consumed a...

Vikings!!! eeek Im envious!!!! Fancy swapping courses? You'd have one film and a music CD due in the week after Easter. It would be do-able, if you don't have a fondness for sleep or social interaction.
