alright...so here's the update you've all been waiting for. (probably not)
the shins tonight was really really really effing good. and i don't even own much of their stuff (i have oh, inverted world on vinyl). so glad i went....almost didn't get a ticket...they were sold out and everyone needed tickets and no one had them to sell. shawna spotted an ordinary non-ticket scalper guy holding his ticket out with a "what-in-the-world-am-i-gonna-do-with-this" look on his face and asked him if it was for sale. he asked for $25 and shawna insisted on $40. this was the ticket for me, mind you. and she paid half. i now understand why.
yesterday was recovery day from sg weekend. luckily i woke up today feeling pretty damn good. quite the opposite from last night when i got a nosebleed and thought i was dying. (i don't get nosebleeds...hardly ever).
and this weekend was, of course, sg weekend. went to netherworld and met some new people and some old people. then on sunday i went to the graduation party of ankiel66 and emogoddess and had one of their brownies. sorry if i looked at anyone funny...nothing was really making much sense after awhile. i was amazed i made it the whole two miles home! i walked up to my door thinking, "wow....i'm home...i feel so...safe." speaking of which, jonnytrrrash7, how did you get home?
next up ....and you will know us by the trail of dead with obrien and the_other_keith (right? ) i'm planning on catching up on some more sleep between now and then.
and i start at boulder subway on sunday. emogoddess works across the street and said she'd give me free bread. free anything is cool, but bread? i could subsist on bread. mmm....bread.
my apartment is wind-powered now, you know.
