So I've uploaded the rest of my army pics onto my computer, and just need to resize them and such so they'll be a reasonable size for the internet. They are rather ridiculously huge at the moment. So that will be fun.
Talked to Jared on the phone yesterday, I guess things are going okay, though he doesn't like Yakima much. No surprise there, really. They'll be down in a bit to housesit while his parents go on vacation, so we'll be able to hang out and such then. That will be cool, I guess. We're supposed to be doing a camping trip thing sometime this summer, and that will be awesome. I haven't gone camping in forever. And I do need to get out, get away.
I've been feeling like I want to be outside, and I don't mean out of the house running around or taking a walk. But you know, out there, really out there. Somewhere wild and rough and simpler than all this. Somewhere quiet where you can see the stars and taste clean cool air. I need to be away from the city for a while. Away from offices and people and cars, and all the noise.
Anyways... So, on a side note, if any of you have HBO and you have a chance, or if like myself you have digital cable with ondemand movies, I recommend watching 'The Girl In The Cafe', which is a splendid movie and everything that cinema should be. It's British, which saddens me because I can't help but feel sad that cinema is an American art-form but nowadays it's done so much better by just about everybody else. Anyone who is scoffing at this should consider that nearly every remarkable movie made in the last few years has been a foreign production entirely or a remake of a foreign film. Not very good remakes, either...
Eh, so anyways it's a very good movie and I encourage you all to watch it, if for no other reason than it has Staralfur by Sigur Ros in the soundtrack.
