Sleep overcame me, and I had another nightmare. Something I haven't experienced since the last one, and something before that, I hadn't experienced for at least 20 years -- remembering a dream that is. This one was much, much worse, and I'm glad I'm awake now. The whole dream wasn't that scary, but it was accompanied by absolute terror.
For some reason, my entire family had moved back into our old home in Twinsburg... one we had moved out of when I was 12. I got home from work early, and I decided to take a nap on the couch. I put some music on before napping. I fell asleep for a while, but then I woke up wanting to turn the music off. I couldn't. I turned off some stereo equipment upstairs, it didn't stop it, I went downstairs, and unplugged everything down there. the music still wouldn't stop. It was driving me insane, and no one was around to help me fix it. I tried to sleep again, but the madness seemed to go on forever.
I woke up, and it got to be pretty late, I guess I was expecting everyone home around 1pm. It was now 8:30pm, and I was pretty worried, but no one in my family has a cell phone, so there was no contacting anyone to see how they were.
Somehow there was this giant dog (german shepard, about twice the normal size) in the yard ripping apart my Mom's favorite blanket from the couch. Except the blanket too was in exaggerated proportions, it had to be something like 30 feet x 50 feet. A bunny hopped past the scene and I remember saying to myself "go for the bunny instead, it's much more of a challenge". I was really afraid of this dog, life threateningly so, so I decided to call the local K-9 animal control office. I couldn't find the yellow pages after looking around, which added to the anxiety, so I ended up calling 411. I got some national 411 service, they asked what city, I said Twinsburg, and the guy was like "Oh, in ohio, I know all about that place, I saw something on TV about that." He kept going on and on about how he saw something on TV about it, while I was in danger. I said "look man, I need the K-9 people NOW", he got confused as to what that was, and was really giving me a hard time. Suddenly, I heard a noise and said I had to go, but thanks anyway. I could see him for some reason, the entire duration of our conversation, it was the same dude with the short braids/dreads from my last dream. Weird thing is, I have never met anyone that looks like this person.
So now, there's a dog and a bear out there. and they're both growling at things together. The bear kind of morphs a bit, at first he's a bear, but then he turns into a lion bear (wtf ever that is). And now I'm really losing it. The lion bear runs around the block to go terrorize someone else, which again was weird, because for some reason, I was the only person in the neighborhood at this point, I knew no one else was there. I was totally alone.
I was running around the house frantically still trying to turn the music down, worried about my family that was 7 and half hours late, and running around from the stress by knowing that the rest of the world had disappeared pretty much -- there was only the dog in the yard and me, and the dog would kill me if I went out.
Just then, my Dad gets home. He's running around in shorts, weird, as he just got home from his desk job, and it starts to rain. He came in through the garage and I told him to come inside quick as there was a killer dog in the yard. He didn't seem upset about it, but then again, nothing really upsets my dad. He said I had to help him get something from the car, I protested because of the killer dog and lion bear (that came back), but he said to help him, and I did. I grabbed paperwork, like a trapperkeeper out of his back seat and we hurried back in the front door.
Time started to go faster all of a sudden. Not for us, not for the dog, but the seasons. They started changing, the weather went from fall to winter to spring and back a few times. I was the last person in the front door and as soon as I got in, it started to rain. Some lady appeared I had never met before, wanting to come in, but right next to her was the killer dog looking at me with a sad look on its face... probably because it really really wanted to kill me and I had escaped. I told Dad not to let her in, as the dog would get in too (which didn't seem to care about killing her or anyone else, just me), but he let her in anyway.
The dog also got in, and killed me on the spot. Then I woke up.
Do these mean something? I dunno. I wish they'd stop.
