Chryseis got my mind rolling into it's own pit of insightful meandering. Life...so much good and bad surrounds us each and every day. Take the New York bomb...that almost went off. The birth of a beautiful baby to a friend. Good and bad happening all around us each and every day. Sometimes it seems our lives are stuck in eternal moments of pain and suffering while others we can't wipe the smiles from our faces.
In my own life as many of you out there, there have been some extremely low and painful moments. Times where you just wish life would shut it's cold, piercing eyes and let you go. Let you drift away into darkness far from any misery. Far from anyone who can hurt you. Times where pain brings relief from the torture of that which faces you each day. The cold, biting wind of life tossing you to and fro...taking the life right out of your precious lungs. Sucking the will to hold on to each day knowing...that the next day will be no better.
Then one day there is that glimmer of sunshine caressing your face. Lifting you up out of the darkness...even if only for a moment. It's those times that make life worth enduring. Worth braving the sad dark moments that encircle your being at times. It could be someone in your life who lifts your thoughts, something in your life that you treasure that makes you smile. A simple lick from a pet upon your cold nose...willing you to break a smile. Willing you to play with them and make their day.
There will always be pain in life...always. But that is just a small part of what makes this road we travel what it is. We may be able to control some of the pain and suffering that comes into our lives...but some of it will just happen. You just have to be willing to smile one day...and know that there will be that day in the future where that puppy will lick your nose and make you smile. That moment when that special someone will notice you...and want to know more about you. When you will be sitting among friends and wonder to yourself...this really isn't so bad is it.
Shrug...life is painful, life is awesome. One day someone will need you...be there for them. Don't miss that day.

But, yeah. I think the weight thing was that .. I wasn't happy where I was, and imagined I'd be happy at my -idea- of a number, rather than the reality of it. Now I just don't know. I guess it's better than anything else -- it's just my body type. Can't win 'em all, or something. So I just have to leave it and play with what I can -- the piercings, the tattoos, the makeup & whatever. :]
