Six days, count 'em- SIX days to what will hopefully be my last holiday with my family. Two whole weeks in Italy with them might be nice (if fairly damn boring) but having to pay 1400 for the privilege is a bit of a joke... and I probably won't have net access, so i'll come back some kind of freaked-out hippy, listening to trees and smelling flowers and showering infrequently... j/k, I love hippies.

Woohoo! My scanner is all better now. It was producing some very flary, soft scans so I opened it up and had a look- the mirror in front of the optic was COATED in dust. The previous owner had obviously stored it in an attic somewhere. A few minutes with some cleaning apparatus and it's looking good. Maybe I can get on with my site now...
