You know, it's funny... if I really had a stalker, and he figured out where I live, my landlady's sons would finally get to do something useful. They're these giant 30-somethings with no jobs. All they do is lift weights all day, waiting for the time they'll actually be required to beat someone up. They're really fascinating characters.

Social events are so weird. It's starting to feel like they're really incongruous with my life. For instance: after I spend all of this weekend sitting in my pajamas writing about a woman who's been dead for nearly 600 years, I'm attending a party Monday night on a yacht. What the hell am I going to talk about?

Sober evening - I usually clean my room or paint or read or surf the web. But then again, most of my evenings are sober but only half an hour long after work and gym and food before I have to go to sleep. Gah - too short evenings!
Situps won't do a darned thing about the gut - quitting drinking beer will (unfortunately!). And yes there is a niceness about having a whee bit of padding on the body for snuggling up next to. But only a whee bit!
