Off to Seattle and Vancouver B.C. tomorrow morning, returning in a week or so. Looking ever so much forward to that 3 A.M. drive to Oakland. I'm sure so many of you here at SG will miss me greatly. In fact, I expect a thread dedicated to my absence. Something along the lines of, "What in the world will we do, now...

I always thought it was amusing that he summoned RAW, who wasn't even dead...
But i agree with the misspent energy...wasted, really---none returning...
There was a lot of energy in our house, and yeah, it's sad that most of it was all for naught...

I sure will smile

FYI, they now sell a single book that binds all of the books into one volume...it's great for that reason and the WONDERFUL engravings are printed larger! Only thing I don't like is it's a telephone book nearly and the books are reprinted in chronological order rather than the order CS Lewis wrote them in. And also no cover art from the normal books either tongue

Rick James died today. Not sure whether I'm really sad (no, I never gave a damn when Johnny Cash died, either. . .but Brando's death hit me, and I don't know why. . .just really bothered me), but the man did have a tough go at it, professionally speaking. It was HIS idea to have an all-girl band, and Prince not only stole the idea,...

Holy shit. . .Oakland>Las Vegas>Oakland in 24 hours is a long haul. . .great to hang out with my man from Atlanta, Sam G., but now I need some serious sleep, as the "up til 6am routine" that defines the Vegas experience has kicked my ass.

Strip club of note: Treasures.
They spent nearly $30 million to build the place, but it's...

I completely suck at gambling. I never win anything. So I try to stay clear of Vegas because I love to gamble.

A great piece of SG feedback rec'd in my inbox moments ago:

To Whom It May Concern,

Why go to the Raven I could stay home and watch semi-smut on network T.V. for free. Have things gotten so desparate that you need this kind of "programming"
such as the duct tape fashion show and the suicide girls live burlesque. I thought the...

Wow. I have three friends. How cool is that? Certainly, I have a few more in the real world, and I'm not sure whether the definition of "friend" needs to be redefined for the online world, as I doubt that any of my SG friends would drop everything and let me borrow a van to help me move my shit.

But, then, I'm not moving....

Nice to see someone from north of me here. The show kicked ass. The Raven was the perfect venue for it. Hopefully, it will be a regular stop on the tour from now on. Healdsburg is a beautiful city. It reminds me of what the part of Orange County I'm from was like before the Irvine family cleared out all the ranchers & turn it into townhomes & shopping malls.
