Today I feel good about making the transition to becoming a true vegan. This means buying only vegan friendly foods, boycotting products that test on animals, boycotting products that use animal products and materials, boycotting clothing that uses animal skins or furs, and using vegan friendly tattoo ink. It feels so good to know that I'm living in a way that causes the least amount of cruelty and pain possible to animals.
The next step is signing up to do the animal studies course, and as I gain each qualification I will progress to further my education until I become a vet. My goal is to use my vet skills to help animals around Australia then, hopefully, the world.
I will still do the motorcycle trip round the world one day, and I'll help as many animals as I physically can on my journeys.
Also, I understand that I will be the target for hate, ridicule, arguments and debate, but I will not listen. I believe I'm foing a good thing on my own. I'm not pressuring anyone else to join me, this is my choice.
On a side note, when it comes to indigenous tribes around the world that kill animals for food or ritual, I understand that the majority of these people take care of and look after the animal whilst it is alive. Then, when the time comes, the animal is slaughtered in the most humane way possible and is either worshipped or has a ceremony held for its sacrifice to the people. They have a deep respect for natures beings and to me that's ok. Just like it's ok to love a pet then have it euthanased as it gets too sick or old to live happily. So don't you start that argument with me.
Now that's a huge weight off my shoulders and I feel relieved![smile](https://dz3ixmv6nok8z.cloudfront.net/static/img/emoticons/smile.0d0a8d99a741.gif)

On a side note, not every indigenous tribe is so humane about it. The island I went to in Vanuatu, they killed their beef by pelting it with rocks. Apparently they continue to do so, despite being shown more humane ways to kill it, because it's fun. I think it's horrific.
