So today I woke up with an ugly hangover from indulging in wine and videos of cats on YouTube with a friend last night. I don't remember much of what happened, but apparently I was acting like I'd drunken a whole bottle of whisky. I found a suspicious blank cd, a cigarette and a near empty bottle of wine with no lid in my handbag. I have also determined that having a breathalyzer on my phone would be an extremely good idea, as I found various posts I don't remember writing on Facebook. Bender kept me entertained for a while, too, according to my Facebook post. Fun times.
Anyway, I woke up quite early and couldn't get back to sleep, so I recovered from my hangover with a pint (yes, a pint) of tea and a Batman marathon. Just before writing this post I did a little research for the novel I'm writing by reading some more of my book and turning to my good friend Wikipedia for information on the subjects I want to write about. In writing this novel I kind of feel like Catherine Tramell, one of the lead characters in the movie Basic Instinct. Except for the part about being a murder suspect, I'm like the novelist who becomes involved in an erotically intense relationship with a cop whilst researching his job to make the current novel she's writing more factually accurate. And the cop has an amazing body too, probably the best she's ever seen... or felt. Wow.
I'm quite tempted to reveal the details of the novel I'm working on, but I don't want to ruin it, or even worse, have my idea stolen and written by someone else! I have revealed one minor detail that there are going to be police in my story, but police are a common subject in novels, so that won't make a difference.
I'm running out of things to write about in my blog post for tonight, so I think I'll just leave it here and come back later when I have more brain cells to work with.
