What a charming Sunday. Marksy and I braved the blistering 90-degree heat to have lunch with the oh-so-lovable stillfalling. We ate very tall sandwiches from Jason's Deli, then went to a public rose garden that was somewhat the worse for wear from the heat, but still quite enchanting with its chaotic overgrowth and abstract metal sculptures. There's a little coffeehouse right at the garden, owned by some 20-year-old guy, where we cooled off and admired the paintings by local artists. It's always nice to find secret little spots that no one else knows about.
