So we went to see X3 last night...I met Marksy at the theater straight from work. I thought it was great, just mind-blowingly great, and one part made me cry...not the end either, although I did tear up a bit. I know there are comic purists out here, or film snobs or whatever, who didn't like it...I have two words for them & they're not "happy birthday." 
I am a Star Trek geek myself, so I empathize with the comic geeks, but please get over it. I never see eye-to-eye with hater geeks who just complain about shit cause they like to complain...good example being those Star Wars fans who just love to hate on Ewoks. Ewoks are awesome, Lucas created them, get a damn job. Now Jar Jar Binks on the other hand... 
Anyway, last night was fun. Except I was going to stay up late to see HIM on "Carson Daly." I wrote it on my calendar and everything. But no, I couldn't stay up cause the girl whose wedding I'm gonna be in was coming over today at fucking 10 AM to look at her bridal portrait proofs (Marksy did her pictures). So I taped it. And guess what? Yep, the tape cut off. I thought it was a thirty minute show, I taped like 40 minutes just to be safe, or so I thought, so maybe it's an hour or maybe it started late. All I know is I'm fucking pissed. I was all set to go see them in New Orleans last month but couldn't talk the boy into going. Now I can't even fucking see them play on a stupid ass TV show.
Sorry for the rant. I just should have stayed up to watch it. 
On a more positive note, I'm gonna get some pix taken of me and my newly bronze body. I've only been to the tanning bed 6 times and I'm already a luscious caramel color. (Thank you, Native American ancestry!) I don't know why I ever made the no-tanning vow. I just look and feel so much better with a tan. I love porcelain white skin and admire it on others, but it's something I will never have, so I have to beautify in my own way.
Well, here's to a relaxing weekend...sleep, sun, and sex. Well, maybe just sleep, sun, and sleep.
I need a weekend off from partying. Just one weekend, I promise.
