Just got back from NYC -- my second visit there in two months. My wife was able to come with me this time.
It's kind of sad how Guliani and later Bloomberg have been so dedicated to ruining her.
Crowds of people gathered outside bars sucking down a smoke, Talk of closing down the bars at 2:00 AM instead of 4:00 am because they don't want people gathered on the street late at night. Hey, I have an idea asshole: let them smoke in bars again!
I just saw an old friend's new apartment (actually a girl my wife and I once babysat for when she was 5, but that's beside the point). The fucking place couldn't have been any bigger than 200 square feet - MAYBE 250, but I doubt it. Great block, 7th street off the park, but she's paying $1600/month for it. And it has big-ass roaches. Does anyone remember when Guliani told New Yorkers how rent stabilization and rent control were bad for the city! Fuck you Rudy!
I've never been so happy I left New York. I'll always love her, but she's a fucking mess these days. Still, she'll always hold a special place in my heart. I just ordered a vintage subway token on eBay, so I can take it to my tattoo artist and have him tattoo it on me. I'm thinking the back of my head -- halfway between the bottom of my ear and my Mohawk. My wife wants the same tattoo -- but someplace a little less obvious.
Nice to be back in Vegas. She finally feels like home to me.
Ate some mushrooms last night while hanging out with a firend. She was on Ecstasy, but I'd taken that two nights earlier, and didn't want to repeat. Nothing beats a long wasted night hanging with a friend. Nice way to blow off the pressure of delivering a eulogy last week.
I'm reading about the SG trip to Disney world. I sold my soul to the mouse year's ago, and they send me free tickets to the parks every 6 months. This sounds like a cool way to use them. I'll be in New Orleans the week before, however, and I'm not sure if I want to take another trip that soon.
Damn- I haven't posted in so long, and hear I am rambling on and on and on.

I remember hearing in the early eighties that a studio on St. Marks was $900 per month and thinking it was alot them. Crazy. Dirk at Pussycats did my tattoo. Jesse Tuesday did alot of my work but my last three pieces have been done by Dirk. I've known him about 20 years or more and I really like his pinup work.
