Today I had a big adventure! For the very first time ever, I took the train ride up to the city all by myself!! If you know me well, then you know I can't stand going anywhere alone, as it makes me rather nervous. So, I took the hour train ride up to the city and met up with poketroket and she took me shopping for wedding shoes. The lovely friend that Miss Pokey is, she was armed and ready with a map and list of shoe shops! We searched every shop we went into for shoes and we were starting to get bummed out that we couldn't find anything, and started making plans to go on another search later in the week. We stopped along the way in a sock shop, where I scored a suspender belt for $17.80! woohoo! Now i just need some stockings and my underwear for under the dress (not the wedding night, which I still need!) is complete! We continue peeking into some asian clothing stores, full of the cutest girls and cutest clothes. I must go back, even if only to drool over the girls! hehehe Then we stop in one more shoe shop and I didn't think I'd be able to find anything when I spotted a Spool Heel. I got excited and just grabbed it to show Pokey that was the type of heel I was after. I didn't even look at the shoe at first... then I glanced down to the shoe I was holding and my jaw dropped. It was a beautiful taupe "bootie", as they are called now-a-days. Spool heel, just like the proper boots in Victorian times, and had the prettiest floral damask pattern on it. We ran up to the counter and asked for the smallest size, since I don't know my size in Australia the lady guessed I was a 36, as it was the smallest they had. She went to look for them, but could only find them in a 38 and 37! I tried on the 38 and it was a bit too loose, then tried the 37 and it's pretty much perfect! It's a little loose, but that's ok. Pokey made me walk around and such for a good 10 minutes in the shop with both of the shoes on as to make sure they wouldn't hurt me. I goofed off and hopped around and they still didn't hurt. They actually felt rather comfy! We went and had lunch and I thought about the shoes, then promptly went back to the shop and bought them!
I LOVE them so so so soooooo much! I plan to make some spats to wear with them and I'm very excited about this as I REALLY want some spats!!!
So, here's my pretty new wedding boots (YAY!!!!! )




I have to be social now, because I brought a Pokeyface home with me! I have to show her all the wonders of the Steampunk world, so she can get ideas for this years SGAU Ball!!
I just couldn't contain myself and had to show SG what I found!!
