Several of you have asked me to put up my artwork and jewelry so here they are! I'll add/talk about some more later
Here's a few just to start it all off:
This is the piece I'm currently working on. I've based it on Emerson's Essay the Tragic. If you've talked to me at all about philosophy, you may know I have a fuckin boner for this piece of literature. I've always wanted to make an artwork with parts of the essay inside the piece. It's nowhere near done, but so far there are 3 full large charcoal figures, India ink, and acrylic paint.
I love working in multimedia: paint, ink, pastel, marker, text, graphic images...
This one is based on Alice: Through the Looking Glass and Alice in Wonderland. Some of my all time favorite stories. I love just about anything having to do with the Alice theme
It's very hard to see details, but the story is inside the work of art, hidden in paint, or with marker, or behind transparent vellum drawings. The Quote on the bubbles is one I LOVE "Somehow it seems to fill my head with ideas - only I don't exactly know what they are!" The colors didn't photograph quite right, esp skin...supposed to be more multicolored/alien...
Some jewelry pieces are posted below. I create everything down to the settings and the chain links. All three of these are sterling silver.
