Nobody reads this anyway, so I am going to bitch.
My writing professors' have reffered to me as a genius, and a bright new star on several occasions, they have even said this to other people about me. I have reason to believe they are liars. Apparently, this 'genius' cannot win a simple writing contest because the weight of dead relatives and stories about getting drunk take precedence over any form of real literature. Stories lacking depth win, and get published. I'm fed up. I'm tired. So I'm seriously thinking about giving up writing period.
Rant out.

It's people who think like you that keep meaningful literature alive.
Writing contests work the same way that many award shows work. What's seen as a best 'something' isn't always the better choice, but something that more people on said jury agreed on.
Ah, what do I know?
(and btw, i read it)
