Didn't get the apprenticeship I wanted. Got to do some work though and picked up a few new cooking tricks. Learning anything new in the kitchen is gratifying.

In all it was nice to get away and see some of my old friends who I hadn't seen since I left years ago. Catching up, drinking all night, and having a host of new adventures is...

School's fucking done with for the semester. Excellent. Now to pack up in the next few weeks, get my new passport and get the hell outta here for a few months.

Hopefully I'll find a spot apprenticing and I'll never have to come back to this crappy state.
sophie:
A spot apprenticing in another country? Which one?
erinya:
thank you for adding me mon adorable voyager...smile

Somewhere between the age of 8 and 27 I fell out of love with Medieval literature and history. In the last year I seem to have rekindled some sort of strange love for it - to the point where I am now voraciously re-reading Arthurian Romances, Germanic Sagas, Celtic Myths and Medieval Epics. They're a good time, lots of blood and honor and fascinating glimpses...

Hope you figure it all out and have a good 2009. I have to decide things for my future too... Its going to take a lot of planning and bureaucratic work.

Thanks for the nice comment on my Frost set! x

thank you very much! was actually much more enjoyable to do this series!

Still sick, thought about blogging for a sec.

Not much to say, got tattooed while sick. Not a good idea. The tattoo was ill. I was ill. Haha. Bad joke.

Listening to Swiss German hip-hop, which should not be confused with German hip-hop and certainly never confused with French hip-hop.

It's good.

That's all.

PS - I'm hoping to feel better as I have vodka...

Having pneumonia sucks. Having pneumonia while watching Bourdain travel around Japan and Spain just makes a terrible day all the worse.
seshoki:
that blows. Sorry to hear. Looking back in your blog its kind of cool to see shit documented that I had forgotten about life. Like the Zao concert and me fighting some dude.
Anyway apathy and this town still sucks. Im trying to figure out how I can get people to buy my shit, and then pay for me to bike across the country and then eventually into south america.
we should hang out sometime.

Jon Ndtveidt of Dissection has killed himself, and music loses again.

Fight on, Jon.

I think I've finally come to my senses. After making one clever statement, I should refrain from making others, or talking for a bit - as I become rather incoherent and appear as if I have a horrible case of not being able to pay attention for more than two seconds. Too anyone who has had the misfortune of having to deal with this in...

Cancun called me today to let me know what kind of cheap bastards they are.

C: Hello? Is this Mr. _?
Me: Yeah, who's this?
C: Cancun
Me: What, like in Mexico?
C: That is where we are located, yes.
Me: What the hell do you want?
C: Our happiness back.
Me: Your what?
C: Our happiness.
Me: What? Is it missing?
C: Yes, that...

Since I bitched last time... I know offer handy-dandy thoughts in easily digest paragraphs:

Legends have been whispered that the mysterious circle A represents order in chaos. Anarchist writers try to distance the movement away from chaos, and yet for the average human, anarchy and chaos are forever linked. This connection should be rethought and embraced, rather than repressed and thrown away. Chaos is the...

The new place would be better without the other apprentice they selected. Kinda annoys me. Although he is a surprisingly excellent room mate, I don't think I've washed a single dish since I've been here.

Nobody reads this anyway, so I am going to bitch.

My writing professors' have reffered to me as a genius, and a bright new star on several occasions, they have even said this to other people about me. I have reason to believe they are liars. Apparently, this 'genius' cannot win a simple writing contest because the weight of dead relatives and stories about getting...

No, please don't give up writing!
It's people who think like you that keep meaningful literature alive.

Writing contests work the same way that many award shows work. What's seen as a best 'something' isn't always the better choice, but something that more people on said jury agreed on.
Ah, what do I know? kiss

I'm so amazingly lazy as I have not updated this in ages.

I am finding that 85% (I'm being generous here) of the English Majors in my school are pompous know-it-alls that really know nothing. It is frustrating... There is a long rant to go with this but I am sparing people of this.

The approach of graduating and getting a 'real' job has reinforced...

Everybody loves to do the 20 interesting facts - I'll make no bones about jumping on the bandwagon (ohh! look at the cliche implosion!) and doing the same myself. Simply because it is a good way to know people.

1 - I am a very spiritual person, this is reflected in my daily life, the way I interpret literature, what I read, what I listen...
