i agree completely when it comes to the magazines, television, and the all around expectations from society on women.
we should be proud of ourselves and all our imperfections. if we all looked the same the world would be boring and all around characterless.
in this community i feel that our blemishes are appreciated fully.
HA! don't get me wrong though. i can feel just as insecure as every woman does when they open a magazine and see the flawless airbrushed figures.
i think it was jamie lee curtis that did an add in the early pages of a beauty magazine with no make-up, no air-brushing, no gurtle or anything to create a false figure. Now that is courage. i admire her so much for doing that.

Yes, there is a SGUK meet on October 15th, final details haven't been set yet but people will start meeting at around lunchtime at the Dry Bar on Oldham Street then move on to other places as more people arrive. It's also open to any UK member of the site, so it's not just a group members only thing although you may want to join the group since it's a good laugh anyway.

the moon is by far the best thing with the new series.. especially when he sings the love cats... fuckin' quality my favourite from the first series is without a doubt the spirit of jazz episode.. it's so fuckin' funny
