Put up some pictures of my suspension this weekend. Went to the 16th Annual North Carolina Tattoo Convention. I had a really great time and met some great people while there. Best of all, and the reason I was really excited about going, was they were doing body suspensions there.
I have to say, it was probably one of THE most unique experiences in my life. People have been asking me why? All I can really answer is why not? Giving it more thought now after the fact I've found that it's been quite refreshing in a sense that I've accomplished something that I didn't think was possible.
Obviously, I've seen suspensions on the TV and Internet as well as in real life at the convention prior to doing it myself so it seemed like a personal impossibility. The idea of thinking to yourself, "There's no way I can do that." Overcoming the mental barrier of what you perceive as possible.
The experience was very relaxing. Very calming. I have a feeling that I can only describe as being centered. I set a goal and I've accomplished it. Now I feel I can take on anything.
