A dream...

I can see myself looking out over the vast, green land. The breeze moves through my hair and stirs my long skirt. I watch as it travels through the hills, up through the trees, and into the mountains. Everything is alive.

In a moment, I am whom I saw. I become the dream. Standing with my hands on the railing, I run my...

December 2005: Christmas Mouse

It was a cold winter night, about a week before Christmas, and I was sitting in my room pregnant, bored, and unable to sleep. I was living in a tiny three bedroom house with two...

Beautiful Night

I step outside and the warm, balmy night air is like soft black silk against my skin. A breath of wind lifts my hair and caresses my neck, giving me goosebumps. I have had thoughts somewhat like this when I'm byself at home and it's completely quite all around. No noise, no birds chirping, no traffic around. The sounds of silence is rewarding, but can be creepy. But then after awhile I'll put on my classical music and listen to Mozet, Chopin or Schubert and crank up the volume and feel like I'm at the piano concert! It's overwhelming.

Anabelle is beautiful - how old is she here?
