Beat to shit. Just got back from a 3 hour hike up to Mt. Hollywood w/ Nick. It was hard at times, but really good for my knee. Nick was a fucking mess, but that's to be expected for a guy going through a divorce who's been drinking for the last two days. I figured let him beat himself up and spill his guts. When he's tired of that he'll come back to us.
I had my first psych class last night at LA ghetto college. It was cool. I wasn't the only old guy there. There was a buddhist monk sitting next to me. The teacher has six classes a day so she uses a little mic & a speaker. Kinda surreal. I don't think the class is going to be as challenging as I'm used to. It's hard to tell because the first class is always tricky until everyone's done some reading. I'm sure I'll learn something, but I realize that the real challenge might come in not losing patience.
It did feel really good to go to class last night and ride my bike home. Even if LACC isn't challenging enough, I suppose I could look into UCLA, assuming I get a job soon.
My motorcycle is ready and I get to pick it up tomorrow. It's $100 less than the estimate, which is good. So, I'll have my own transpo again which I haven't had since May. As long as I don't have a passenger who won't ride a bike or if it rains I'll be OK. I can take 3 bags o' groceries on the thing and it probably won't rain for a couple months.
Happy Labor day everyone. Here's hoping I have some labor soon.
Bleagh!

I should really get a digi camera so I can put photos up more easily. Then, I should take more trips with the bike. I've only taken it to S.F. and Portland. Assuming I get a job soon, that will all change.

thanks for your input on my journal. most people are not as lucky to be as seemingly laidback as yourself. nothing wrong with being a hippie, or being like a hippie. they have admirable qualities.
