The other day I went with a couple of friends to a ghost town close to where I live (near Milan, more precisely Lecco lake). Of course I couldn't resist to take some sexy pics π And it's been complicated taking them cause there were always people around!
It's been a funny but harsh trip π
The place is on a hill, and to get there there are many hairpin bends. When we were approaching, there was already a long line of cars on both sides of the road, in fact I wanted to stop farther and proceed by walk cause I thought there was no more space closer to the place but my friends insisted to get there by car, so I did what they said. We arrived next to a bar at the entry of the town, and, as I thougt, there was almost no more space, but we managed to find a small space and park there.
As soon as we got off the car, a group of cyclists told us that a flock of sheeps was approaching, and that it was better to move the car farther from the bar to let the animals pass. We did so and soon after that a lot of sheeps, along with some goats, cows and donkeys arrived, and when they passed next to my car, they made it move, so me and my friends were quite scared, cause the car was on the edge of the road, below which there was the slope, that was full of trees and not so pending but still not safe! And obviously I was also afraid that the goats could damage my car with their horns, but hopefully I think it didn't happened, also cause there weren't many of them! But it's hard to tell cause there were already some scratches on my car, so I don't know if they added new ones or not, but my dad always notices new scratches, so if he didn't tell me anything I guess there aren't new ones π₯³
After this, we started the descent to get to the town, and after a few minutes we saw another flock, but this time the car was in a safe position. The problem was that there was a small truck that was going there, and there was no way it could pass with all those cars! So we did the uphill back to the car, together with the other visitors, and we all moved from there, leaving space for the truck to pass. We took advantage of the many cars moving away to find a better spot for the car, so that if other vehicles had to pass, there was no problem.
We did the descent again and we finally arrived to this small town. After a few minutes of exploration, I was playfully "fighting" with one of my friends, and one of my (long) nails bent on itself and it started bleeding and hurt π¬
After a while, we entered in a building (I think it was a hotel), which of course was dark and so we had to use our phones torch. I was walking behind one of my friends, he passed through a corridor and nothing happened, but when I passed there I fell into a hole that I didn't see cause it was covered with something light that didn't serve as a protection. It was painful but at the same time funny, I wish that my friend who was recording had captured that moment, I would have loved to see myself falling in the hole from the outside π But thankfully no big injuries, just a sprained ankle and some scratches on my leg and elbow. Could have been way worse than that! Nothing happened also to my phone and my Reflex!
When we finished our exploration, we had to do the uphill again, which is already tiring, imagine with a sprained ankle π±
Some pics of the place. I think in this case b/w fits well with the mood of abandonment/desolation! I love abandoned places π€
One of my friends brought his drone and took some pretty pics of the lake seen from above.
To end the day, we went to a restaurant, and we had to park a little distant, so another limping walk. Uncomfortable but funny, I laughed all the evening thinking about my fall π
Finally, when we got to the parking, guess which car was the only one full of birds π©?! Of course mine! Not to mention the mud that was all over the wheels from our trip π€¦π»βοΈ
